Looks like the modification to the Shed of Solicitation are working.
Not 24 hours since the lovely Ida Jansson graced my abode, I have another guest.
Or should I say, a return guest, because today my very good friend, Simon OKill was brave enough to risk the humiliation of the Back of The Shed Gang to sit down with me again.
Gotta love a trouper!
Welcome back, Simon Okill, have a seat, as you can see my furniture has improved since you have been here last. I will not say where I got the Lazy Boy recliners, let’s just say there was an incident at Jack’s house…
Don’t blame Phantom Bigfoot, all he did was carry them over here.
Thank you for coming, Simon and for being so brave to come back here on the wharf again, so to reward you I am going to let you brag about your latest work.
Luna Sanguis is like no other vampire romp as it delves inside the mind of a vampire about to be given the ultimate power from a psychiatric POV.
I have seen Luna Sanguis on Goodreads and I am going to pick it up, but before I do, could you tell me a little about it?
Well, Tina, our female protagonist witnesses a horrific slaughter that sends her amnesiac. She is rescued from those hunting her blood and imprisoned in an asylum where even worse terrors await her. Only one person can save her, a mere human, from the ultimate evil out there somewhere seeking her eternal blood.
Wow, Luna Sanguis sounds intriguing, is there a particular part of the story that you really enjoyed writing?
The whole book was a joy. Well more a remembrance to my own torment suffering from PTSD after an accident that left me disabled, but with every word my torment diminished, so in some ways I enjoyed shedding my burden. Although I still suffer flashbacks as you will discover in my book.
May I ask who your favorite character(s) were?
Lucien the evil Count! He is so over the top nasty that I found it easy to portray him as a monster. Where that came from I have no idea?
I love the title of your new novel Luna Sanguis – may I ask how did you come up with the name? –
Our close friend Travis Luedke and I spent a few hours searching for an appropriate name not done before and voila! Thanks for eternity Travis.
It is a beautiful cover, who designed it?
What inspired the story line?
My love for vampires, we have one in our little home – our cat – she hisses, spits, growls and draws blood with her fangs.
I hear you, Simon. I have a little vampire at home too, except he wears pull-ups, likes to climb the walls, doesn’t sleep at night, bites and can suck the filling out of a ice cream, leaving the shell. He is not old enough for blood yet.
He also calls a vampire Daddy… though I do not know how that happened….
I look up and see Simon looking at me kind of strangely, maybe thinking I am about to fall off my Lazy Boy recliner; but I shake my head and return to reality.
Do you have any writing advice for new authors?
If I can do it – then so can you!
What is next for you?
Luna Aeturnus is part 2 and almost complete.
That will be followed by SS-Steppenwolf based on the exploits of Himmler’s IOW unit – you know those guys in Raiders of the Lost Ark that dug up half of Africa as they search for the ultimate fighting machine.
After that we will be inflicting Bigfoot part 2 upon the unsuspecting literary world.
Please tell my audience five interesting facts about yourself.
I sleep on the left side of the bed
I am a vegetarian
I am short for my size which makes me short
my feet are big for my size – and you know what they say about guys with big feet?
This last response results in a very loud “Wooooo hoo! Damn straight man, I have big feet too!” from somewhere behind the shed’s closed door.
I stop my urge to open the door and knock who was on the other side interrupting my nice visit with Simon on their arse.
Thank you again for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come and visit me again in my little shed. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and the quiet…
You are always welcome! You’re welcome too Tina. You see how well behaved I can be without beer. That’s done it. I want beer! Let’s party! Woowoooowooooo!
I give you my best wishes!
I laugh as Simon grabs a beer from the cooler and rushes out the door, knocking Terrance flat on his rear.
Another reason why I adore Simon!!
Before my Bigfoot ran out of here he handed me these extra goodies to share with you:

Author Simon Okill:
I live with my wife, Shirlee Anne and our cat, in a pretty coastal town in South Wales, UK. We both love Stephen King and had read many of his books and enjoyed their transition to the screen. Due to our love of books, my wife and I dabbled in writing for some years as a hobby. We were approached by a film company to write a paranormal TV series. We struggled most nights and all through weekends to come up with 22 episodes only for the company to go bust. Then after an accident at work, I was forced into early retirement due to disability. I used my newfound skills as a writer to help with my depression. We decided to use our TV series episodes as templates for film scripts and novels. My writing became more serious as certain A-list actors expressed interest in my scripts and my debut novel Nobody Loves a Bigfoot Like a Bigfoot Babe was accepted by Christopher Matthews Publishing after so many British publishers turned it down.
Bigfoot Episode 2 – it’s a secret!
Luna Aeturnus is the sequel to Luna Sanguis and will be ready for release this Autumn.
SS-steppenwolf is a supernatural retelling of WWII involving the Occult Warfare department run by Himmler. Think Indiana Jones searching for a werewolf.
‘Flip Side’ is one of my most exciting screenplays to date with its unusual slant on a supernatural gangster story that encompasses music and dynamic dance sequences to portray the action. The script has been optioned by Tasha Bertram of Brodie Films and Stuart St Paul has come on board to direct and co produce this fascinating piece of work.
‘Nightmare Circus’ is a supernatural revenge mystery script set in the Australian outback.
‘Dark House’ is set in Massachusetts, US, where a lonely female artist must overcome her agoraphobia to escape from three kidnappers holed up in a house haunted by a witch finder’s hanging tree.
‘Circus of Blood’ is a horror script set in Rome AD79 where two citizens go on a dangerous quest to kill a brutal serial killer. Their adventures end in Pompeii.
‘Hunter’s Moon’ is a contemporary supernatural western script set on Bodmin Moor, Cornwall.
The Last Warlord is set during WWII and tells of Major Stewart of MI6 who must find the Nazi’s secret Atlantis base in Antarctica or the entire world will be doomed
Luna Sanguis is set in Paris and the French countryside June 1925.

Eternal wakes up in a tiny prison-style room with no name, no memory at all. Something stirs in her subconscious. Something otherworldly yearns to be set free by the next full moon – the date of her Eternal Birthday, just 24 hours away. Can she survive long enough for the final transformation? Her only hope is Edouard, her designated true love and psychiatrist treating her. But the more memories that surface the stronger Eternal becomes and yet she must depend on her true love for her very existence for out there somewhere, He is relishing the hunt for her blood – and nothing will stop him from becoming Eternal.
The Evil Count Lucien and Eternal:
Lucien approached with his sword, smiling as she backed away in fear. Her eyes widened as he slashed his forearm with the blade and offered his blood to her.
“Come on … this is what you’ve been waiting for.”
The effect of his blood was immediate. Even Lucien jumped with shock as she pounced and sucked on the wound with wild abandon. She sighed and moaned as she drank her first human blood. Lucien’s eyes rolled up in their sockets as he felt the tingle of an orgasm. The dark music he had grown to love was so sweet, so mesmerising, he felt at home. He had finally allowed her to fulfil her birthright and it was wonderful. It was better than sex.
Edouard was transfixed by her large lustrous eyes of burnt umber. It was a colour that radiated an allure both enticing and at the same time something dark and foreboding. He gasped, as the feeble light cascading from the window caused her eyes to change colour to pitch-black, like a cat as it sensed the kill.
Edouard shuddered as she spoke to him without moving her lips – “we are eternal, my true love.” His mind went numb with shock at hearing that word from his dreams. He began to tremble with excitement.
“I am for you.” That was all he could say.
The Vampire Sucklings:
Over the next few weeks Claudette had become insatiable for blood and sex, the two usually going together like strawberries and cream. Jacques couldn’t risk any more exsanguinations at the rampant hands of Claudette or he’d end up at the morgue. He showed her how to entice the wandering adventurers who clambered for action at the city’s roughest areas and spike their drinks with the voodoo white stolen from a Bokor who had the misfortune to cross Jacques’ path. When they had enough, both booked passage to Marseilles. Oh, one more thing, Jacques had named his voodoo white – Forbidden Kiss.
Eternal trapped in the asylum:
Eternal wanted to scream, but she was so dry with fear her tongue was stuck to the roof of her mouth. She looked desperately around the small room, breathing frantically. Her head swam with terrifying visions of bloody and torn bodies, screams of death and those leather-clad legs. She tried to understand what was happening to her, but couldn’t. The screams of ravens pecked at her sanity. Tears ran down her face as her other name eluded her. Nothing surfaced except sheer terror, a terror which had stripped her of her very existence. She convulsed. Nothing came up.
