When I self-published my first novel, Destiny of the Vampire, the only thing I knew was how to write the story. I had no clue about proper editing, cover design, critique partners, beta readers, formatting and marketing. I walked into this business blind and naïve. My book did not sell beyond friends and family members. I was lost in a sea of many authors who were so much better than me. I doubted myself until I was offered a chance to join a unique group by a gentlemen named Grey Hoover. A group called Author Media Support Group(ASMSG) whose purpose was to support authors(mostly indie like me) of all genres in all aspects of the writing craft. I wasn’t sure, but I took the chance and accepted his kind offer.
It was the best decision of my life. Here I met a group of fellow writers from around the world who were just not all generous and knowledgeable with their advice with any question I may have, helping promote my work and I theirs, but with personal issues.
I have learned so much since joining this group. I have grown in leaps and bounds as an author. I have an excellent editor, found a wonderful critique partner and beta readers and cover designer, but more importantly I found life long friends who will always be there for me, as I will be for them.
I’m blessed to be a member of ASMSG.
THE MANY STORIES OF ASMSG:
The authors of this incredible group are very talented and we have grown by leaps and bounds. So much so that we have published our anthologies! Four as of this writing with another ready to be released just in time for the holidays.
